If I Had to Start Again, Here’s How I’d Hit $100K a Month Coaching
If you had to start a coaching business over from scratch, with no audience, no brand, and no following, how fast could you get to 100K a month? Zander Fryer says he could do it in under 90 days, and he is not guessing. He has built past that mark a few times and done over $20 million in the coaching space.
This is the full breakdown of how to scale a coaching business to 100K per month using one model, mapped out week by week. No ads. No big team. No massive following. Just a high value offer and a handful of serious buyers each month.
The one model that makes 100K a month possible
The fastest path to 100K a month is a two-stage offer, not a cheaper one. Most coaches make this way harder than it needs to be because their structure is broken, not their coaching.
Take Angie, a former Tesla employee turned career coach. Smart, disciplined, hardworking. Two years after quitting her job she still had not made a dollar. Her offer was solid. The problem was she was trying to sell a one-year program to people who had just met her. Zander put it simply: you do not ask someone to marry you the week you meet them. So why would a stranger commit to a full year with you?
The fix is what Zander calls the two-stage rocket model. You split your program into two parts:
- Stage one is a short, intense front end. Anywhere from 6 to 12 weeks. People can commit to this even before they know who you are.
- Stage two is the long-term back end. A 6 to 12 month program with recurring support that anchors in the real transformation. Once they get results, committing for a year is easy.
Angie asked the obvious question: if she charged 6K for the year, did she now have to charge a thousand bucks for six weeks? No. You charge the same 6K, because you are not charging for time. You are charging for the outcome. Each client went from being worth 6K a year to about 30K. Over the next 60 days she enrolled 10 clients.
The math to 100K a month
You do not need thousands of leads to hit 100K a month. You need a high value front end and six serious buyers. Here is how the numbers stack with a higher value version of Angie’s model.
- Front end: an 8-week program at 12K, which is effectively 6K per month.
- Back end: priced at 50% of that monthly value, about 3K per month ongoing.
- Enroll just 6 front-end clients a month. That is 6 times 12K, or 72K cash collected up front.
- Half move into the back end. Three clients at 3K is 9K per month recurring.
Now watch it compound:
- Month one: 72K up front.
- Month two: 72K plus 9K recurring is 81K.
- Month three: 72K plus 18K is 90K.
- Month four: 72K plus 27K is 99K per month.
By month four she is basically at 100K a month, enrolling six front-end clients. Still no ads, no team, no following.
Month one: prove the concept
The first month is about enrolling your first six high ticket clients as fast as possible, not scaling. Week one has four jobs.
- Pick a high value problem. The audience can afford high ticket, the pain is urgent, and the outcome is measurable. Usually business owners, leaders, professionals, or high-stakes health and relationship problems.
- Price higher than your competitors. It puts you in a different league, you need fewer clients, you pour more energy into each one, clients are more committed, and results improve faster.
- Get a sales script. You cannot sell high ticket without one. This is the framework HIC clients have used to enroll over $200 million in coaching clients.
- Outline the program in a Google Doc. No videographers, no fancy modules. Build out only weeks one and two, then deliver one-on-one to your first five or six clients.
One client, Kim, disappeared for four weeks to “perfect” her program with a videographer before signing a single client. After two real clients she realized half of it had to be trashed. In the beginning you want flexibility over perfection.
Week two is about opening the doors loudly. Most coaches launch quietly and apologetically, then wonder why nobody shows up. Announce everywhere, do direct outreach to your warm market, post daily, ask for referrals. You might hear 100 nos to get one yes. Weeks three and four you wear every hat at once: coaching, outreach, and sales calls. The worst mistake is stopping sales to focus on delivery. That is how momentum dies.
Month two and three: efficiency, then scale
Month two is about doing more with less, not chasing more channels. Apply the 80/20 rule to three areas: refine your sales conversations using real objection data, refine client delivery now that you can spot patterns, and buy back 15 to 20 hours a week of low value work like scheduling and onboarding.
Month three shifts the question from “can this work” to “how do I stop being the bottleneck.” That takes three moves:
- Record your core training modules so you stop delivering the same material over and over. This frees you for real coaching, not redundant work.
- Add fuel to lead generation. Now you know what converts, so put paid traffic behind proven winners instead of guessing.
- Lock in recurring revenue and start training a salesperson. Keep sales on your own plate for at least six months. It is the hardest role to replace and the lifeblood of the business.
Frequently asked questions
How long does it really take to scale a coaching business to 100K a month?
Zander maps a 90-day path, with the model hitting roughly 100K a month by month four. The first time he did it himself it took 12 months with no expertise. The timeline depends on how fast you enroll those first six high ticket clients and how disciplined you stay with daily outreach.
Do I need paid ads to get to 100K a month coaching?
No. The model gets you there with no ads at all. You only add paid traffic in month three, once you already know which content and messages convert. Spending on ads before you have proof is how coaches burn 30 grand on things that do not work.
Why charge more instead of less to help more people?
Charging high ticket means you need fewer clients, so you can pour more energy into each one and get better results faster. You fill your own financial cup first. Then you have the time, money, and freedom to help the people who cannot afford you. It is hard to change lives when you are broke and stressed.
